Milk Rice


Ingredients: 


  • 500 g white or brown rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups thick coconut milk
  • Salt to taste


Method:

1) Wash rice, then put in a medium sized pot. Add water.

2) Bring to a boil at medium heat, then cover saucepan. Cook until rice is soft, 15-20 minutes.

3) Add coconut milk and salt to the saucepan, stir well and reduce heat to low for another 10 minutes to let the rice absorb the coconut milk.

4) The milk rice should be very soft and creamy. Transfer the rice to a flat plate and flatten with oil paper. Cut into diamond shaped pieces.
